How Vittorio Rigato and Everstoic work

If you're here, you're doing your due diligence on me and on what I do. On this page I explain what I do, what I don't do, and the questions people ask us most often.

What Everstoic is

Everstoic is an education and coaching business. I teach how to think about money, understand the principles behind investing, and manage your own finances with confidence. Everything I publish, from the daily videos to the coaching program, has one goal: making you independent, so you never have to rely on me or anyone else.

Everstoic is a registered trademark. The business is run by me, Vittorio Rigato, as an individual, VAT number IT04822180271, with business address at Via Don Bosco 1, San Donà di Piave, 30027, Italy. I only offer coaching and educational courses, and only through everstoic.com.

What I don't do

I don't manage your money. I don't have access to your portfolio, your broker, or your accounts. I will never recommend a specific investment or tell you how to allocate your portfolio. In coaching we work on your method, your understanding, and your decisions, and the decisions stay yours.

Coaching and financial advice are two different services for two different people.

A practical example: In coaching I'll teach you how an ETF works, what sits inside it, what it costs, and how two products that look identical on the surface can differ, until you can compare them yourself. Which one you pick, and whether you buy at all, is your decision. A financial adviser works the other way round: less time spent on your education, more on making the decision for you. That's their job, and it's regulated for a reason.

If you want someone to take the decisions for you, what you need is a regulated financial adviser, and I'd rather tell you that now than after you've spent time here. If you want to become the person who takes those decisions, with a method you understand and a teacher beside you while you learn it, that's what coaching is for.

I also earn nothing from what you buy. No commissions, no affiliate fees, no sponsorships from any broker, fund, or financial product. The only thing I'm paid for is teaching, which means the only thing I have to be good at is teaching well.

Why I'm not a regulated adviser

Financial regulators authorise firms that give personal financial advice, manage money, or sell financial products. Everstoic does none of these, so there is no authorisation for it to hold. This is how the rules are written in every major market:

  • UK: the FCA states that giving generic advice, such as the merits of investing in one region over another, is not a regulated activity, and neither is giving information rather than advice (FCA Handbook, PERG 2.7; PERG 8.26).
  • EU: under MiFID II, investment advice means a personal recommendation, and a recommendation issued exclusively to the public is not a personal recommendation (ESMA supervisory briefing, 2023).
  • US: the Investment Advisers Act excludes publishers of bona fide financial publications of general circulation, and the Supreme Court confirmed in Lowe v. SEC that impersonal advice offered to the general public is not what the Act regulates (Lowe v. SEC, 1985).

For what it's worth, I did sit and pass the exam to become a financial adviser in Italy. I chose not to practise. I took it to prove, to myself and to anyone who asks, that I know the material I teach.

Why you can take what I say seriously

A few facts, so you can weigh them yourself. I hold a Master's degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and a degree in Economics from the University of Padua. I worked in finance in Frankfurt and London, and in management consulting. I've been investing for over a decade, starting with my father's money after a financial adviser let him down, which is the reason Everstoic exists. And the thing I'm proudest of: hundreds of positive reviews from students around the world, most of whom started with no idea where to begin.

How to read my content

Everything I publish is educational content, and it is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. When I mention an investment, a broker, a framework, or a strategy, it's an example to explain a concept, never an endorsement. My content doesn't know your personal situation, your risk profile, or the tax rules of your country, so it may not fit your circumstances.

What you read and watch are my personal opinions. I work hard on accuracy, but I make mistakes like anyone, and rules, allowances, and products change over time, so some of what I published may be outdated by the time you find it. Investing involves risk, and past performance is not a guide to future returns. Do your own research, or talk to a regulated adviser, before you act. Any decision you take remains your own, and I can't be held responsible for its outcome.

The people who share their stories on this site describe their own experience. Their results are theirs and are not a guarantee of yours.

How to read reviews of Vittorio Rigato and Everstoic

Online reviews that are anonymous or unverified deserve a second look, whether they're glowing or hostile. A few things that usually tell a fake one from a real one:

  • An account with a history of negative reviews about many unrelated businesses in a short amount of time, a defamation tactic sometimes used by competitors
  • No reason given for the rating, just a score and a strong verdict
  • A description of the service that doesn't match what we actually do
  • An account that doesn't show their name or can't say when or what they exactly bought

Negative reviews can obviously happen. Like any business, we don't get it right every time. We put real effort into supporting every student, and sometimes that still isn't enough. When that happens, the money-back guarantee that comes with our coaching program is how we resolve it, and the large majority of disagreements end there: the student gets their money back and has lost nothing but some time.

If you're looking for real stories and verified reviews, we recommend two places.

The first is our TrustPilot page, where the majority of reviews comes from a verified experience. By Trustpilot's own rules, a business cannot edit, remove, or pay to remove a review; all I can do is reply. You can read their guidelines for businesses if you want to check.

The second is the video testimonials on this site. We record them directly with students, during the last coaching call of a program. Nobody is paid or given anything for them, and no student is required to do one. We publish them with the full name of each student who allows it, so you can see who is speaking.

You can find the link for both pages at the bottom of this page.

How to spot scammers pretending to be Vittorio Rigato

If someone claiming to be me does any of the following, it's a scam:

  • Asks you for money in private chats
  • Refers you to a specific financial adviser
  • Invites you to join a broker or platform through a promo or a link
  • Sends you a strategy or portfolio allocation to copy
  • Adds you to a Telegram, WhatsApp, or signals group

I do none of these. My only products are the coaching and courses on everstoic.com. And whoever it comes from, a profit claim that sounds too good to be true is a scam.

One last thing

Nothing I teach in coaching is secret. With enough time, you could piece all of it together from free content online, mine included, and some people do exactly that. That's a good outcome.

The added value of coaching is a teacher who knows you personally and keeps you accountable. They know your situation, what scares you the most, and what matters most to you, and they adapt the lessons exactly to that. You never get a standardized experience, the kind a video course gives you, leaving your questions unanswered. Instead you have a human being who will do their best to give you the right lessons for you, with one goal: making you independent. That's the difference between going alone and going with a coach: the personalization of the lessons, the accountability, the speed of results.
